There's an immediate assessment that happens when you see someone wearing a cowboy hat. It's a personality that comes through, whether you're aware of it or not. A cowboy hat makes a statement like no other piece of clothing.
I've tried on a million hats, as probably many of you have. It's not easy to find the one that says "hey, that's me". Ever wonder why? Don't think about that question too long, you'll get dizzy.
But, if you want a quick primer on the history and making of hats produced by Rands Custom Hats. He did a wonderful job at assembling origin, history, style and how they are made. It may help you find just the right hat that fits your personality and needs. Check out this video, very entertaining!
Another amazing hat maker is Bronco Sue. Check her out at http://www.broncosue.com/
Her hats are stunning! Custom made from various kinds of felt, from beaver to mink to rabbit as well as the finest straw hats available. The prices are quite lofty, but her clients say they are worth the price for their fine fit and durability.
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting a Rands hat customer yet, but I hope to be able to give a fair assessment of their products soon.
Please share any hat sources you may have and check back soon to find an informational graphic that compares shapes and history of hats so you can make the right choice for your own melon.
Smiles!
